If you want to bring a peace of Sicily to your home, one of the most famous and traditional dishes is
Pasta alla Norma. An ancient receipt, easy to prepare and perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients:
- 500 grams of short pasta SICANIA Gold Artisan Pasta Casarecce
- two eggplants
- 200 grams of Cheese Ricotta Salted Traditional Portioned
- SICANIA Extra Virgin Olive Oil IGP SICILIA 500ml
- ARANCIO Organic Tomato Sauce Passata Bio 680g
- one clove of garlic
- basil
- salt
Take the eggplants and cut them into slices, then transfer them to a container with water and salt
and leave them to soak for about 30 minutes. Then drain them well, dry them with kitchen paper sheets
and fry them in boiling oil. Dedicate yourself to the sauce by putting the tomato and the garlic
clove in a saucepan, add salt and cook for at least 10 minutes. Meanwhile, add the water for the pasta
and cook it. In a glass bowl, pour the pasta and tomato sauce, season and break up the basil leaves with
your hands. Then transfer to the plate and place the eggplants on the pasta, finish with a grated
ricotta salata and, if you like, another tomato.
